Very simple but effective piece from the X&Y album.
Good Summer
It’s been a good summer in the guitar world in the last month. One student has successfully passed ABRSM grade 1 and another has passed their Duke of Edinburgh silver award on guitar.
Also another budding guitar genius has perfected guitar and a vocal rendition of Elvis Presley’s Love Me Tender and is now preparing to enter the RGT preliminary grade.
Not a bad last few weeks all round, bravo all.

Guitar Fixed
Hooray, My Epiphone EJ200 has been fixed courtesy of the great Dave Plummer at Apex Music, in the Harris Arcade.
I seriously can’t recommend Dave enough, He’s down an amazing job on my guitar. Up until today I was seriously considering falling out with the EJ200. The action was too high, I couldn’t hold down a bare chords beyond the 5th(although maybe that’s me being a bit of a wuss in my old age lol) and the 12 gauge strings were lacerating my fingers.
Subsequently Dave has waved his magic wand and I now have perfectly working guitar, Bravo Dave
Fender Bass VI
Possibly best reissue from Fender, check this great instrument out. Made famous by great players such as Jet Harris(The Shadows), Jack Bruce(Cream) and Robert Smith(The Cure)
Orchestral Guitar
Great fun today working out the string section intro to Out Of Time by THe Rolling Stones. Definitely worth a go on the MIDI guitar through the string patch list.
